SSEC worked with client PlayVS, the leader in scholastic esports in the U.S., to establish a new regional partnership with Circle K designed to support schools in one of the brand’s key states – Florida.
One of the most recognized convenience store brands in the country, Circle K launched its partnership with PlayVS in January 2025, aiming to build meaningful connections between Central Florida-based franchisees and schools in their communities. Focused on engagement opportunities through competitive esports, Circle K’s Florida Division activated locally for the 2025 Spring season by sponsoring platform access for 40 PlayVS-enrolled schools from Orange County Public Schools, providing access to the tools, support, and structure students need to participate in scholastic esports competition.
Circle K was also named the Official Sponsor of the Florida Esports State Championship. This sponsorship provided Circle K with on-site engagement opportunities at the championship event which included distribution of Circle K coupons, raffle prizes, and branded backpacks for championship teams.
Circle K branding was featured prominently in statewide communications related to the Florida Esports State Championship, delivered by both PlayVS and their state association partner, the Florida Association of School Administrators (FASA). These efforts helped elevate awareness of Circle K’s commitment to youth development and community connection through gaming.
Circle K’s support of PlayVS schools in Orange County, Florida will continue into the Fall 2025 esports season.
